Curious about who I am?
While there may be other Lauren Keelers out there, you won't be able to find anyone like me.
A native New Englander, I spent the first half of my life growing up in the beautiful Berkshires in Western Massachusetts surrounded by family. I was still in school, playing soccer and basketball to be just like my older brother, taking dance lessons because I kept getting signed up for them, trying to play my clarinet (which I chose solely based on its nickname: the licorice stick), and drawing often because apparently I was good at it.
My family moved to Vermont just before the turn of the millenium to an equally beautiful location. Some of my regular activities got phased out over time, and I began to focus more on the arts and treat the others as hobbies. I attended Syracuse University, having been accepted into the Environmental Design (Interiors) program within the College of Visual and Performing Arts. After two internships and countless lost hours of sleep, I earned my B.S. in 2008 andI then returned to Vermont to work as an assistant designer.
When not working, I like to say that I am a constant learner, and I love to dabble in a wide variety of hobbies. Besides various artistic and design ventures, I love to follow the Boston Celtics and the Red Sox, and I also enjoy researching my own genealogy and discovering the characters from whom I've descended along with the places upon which they've left their marks. I can't spend enough time outside to fully be satisfied, and I'm often itching to play a casual game of basketball or soccer. I've thought about coaching a youth team at some point, and I am a big fan of volunteering when I am able. I'm also attempting to learn how to cook; this remains a work in progress.
